Investors buy boating center in Fort Lauderdale

Aqua Marine Partners and Vertical Yacht Club Development completed the purchase of the New River Boating Center in Fort Lauderdale.

Financial details were not disclosed.

“We see a tremendous opportunity to transform this previously underused gem in the heart of the yachting capital of the world,” Andrew Sturner, CEO of Aqua Marine Partners, said in a statement.

The revamped marina offers a 30-ton TraveLift capable of storing more than 130 yachts with up to a 19-foot beam. Berthing also is available for up to 32 vessels in covered, open wet and bulkhead slips.
